He canceled the need for Ukrainian carriers to obtain appropriate permits for bilateral and transit transportation to EU countries.<br \/>\n&#8220;During the first year, the agreement proved its practical effectiveness. During the period of its validity, the volume of two-way and transit road freight transportation increased by more than 50%,&#8221; commented the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov.<br \/>\nAfter the signing of the agreement in June 2022, the number of carriers crossing the border to the EU increased by 53% compared to the same period in 2021, and the number of crossings increased by 43%.<br \/>\nAlso, the &#8220;transport visa-free&#8221; agreement simplifies the procedure for recognizing driver&#8217;s documents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ukraine and the European Union extended the Agreement on the Liberalization of Road Freight Transportation until June 30, 2024.
