July may bring Ukrainians an unpleasant increase in the price of gasoline and diesel.
And all because of the Government’s plans to return 20% of the value added tax on fuel.
We will remind you that last week Danylo Hetmantsev announced the return of VAT on fuel to the “pre-crisis level”.
The price can literally “soar”, because some economists predict, for example, an increase in the price of gasoline by 5-8, or even by 11 hryvnias per liter.
Director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Transformation, Ilya Neskhodovskyi, commented on the “Kyiv” TV channel, saying that the price of fuel may increase from 5 to 8 hryvnias per liter.
At the same time, Serhiy Kuyun, head of the A-95 Consulting Group, predicts a much higher price increase:
📌 gasoline – roughly 11 hryvnias,
📌 diesel fuel – up to 8 hryvnias per liter,
📌 autogas – about 3 hryvnias.
But it will be possible to speak more concretely closer to July 1, because the cost of fuel in Ukraine will depend, including on prices on the world market.
