
Ukraine and the European Union extended the Agreement on the Liberalization of Road Freight Transportation until June 30, 2024.

The document was signed in June 2022. He canceled the need for Ukrainian carriers to obtain appropriate permits for bilateral and transit transportation to EU countries.
“During the first year, the agreement proved its practical effectiveness. During the period of its validity, the volume of two-way and transit road freight transportation increased by more than 50%,” commented the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
After the signing of the agreement in June 2022, the number of carriers crossing the border to the EU increased by 53% compared to the same period in 2021, and the number of crossings increased by 43%.
Also, the “transport visa-free” agreement simplifies the procedure for recognizing driver’s documents.
